About

Hi, my name is Michelle Kim, and I design websites.

I am a web designer based out in Atlanta, Georgia, who just graduated from college. I started designing web sites in high school, but my skills really developed in college by working with many organizations both on campus and off. I specialize in designing themes for WordPress.

I was born in a city in Korea that was much like Atlanta—hot, humid, and known for a fruit. My family came to the States when I was 10. It’s a long story, but moving was a result of a bet my parents made against each other. Since then, I have been a Georgia peach. I attended the University of Georgia and graduated May 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism degree in Advertising and a New Media certificate. When I am not immersing myself in web design, I like to go out shopping, cook (anyone want an omelet?), and eat out at restaurants I never tried before. I also play Sims 3, and I have no shame about that.

I worked with several clients in college. I first started out with UGA Chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Then, I became involved with Hooper, Sanford, Baldwin, & Thomas (HSBT): a student-run advertising agency. Through HSBT, I worked with Window World of Athens and briefly with Strand Hair Studios. I also had a chance to work at BLVD, a magazine based in Athens, Georgia, as a web developer.

I am a fast learner and an efficient worker. I also happen to be looking for work. If you would like to work with me, please contact me or see my resume.
